Dec 2021 Status Update

Hello! It’s been a while since I last updated this website. I wanted to let you all know I’m still alive and well. Continue reading to find out what I’ve been up to these past couple years.

First, let’s address my previous post, which I precautiously deemed “my last update.” My business venture was a very interesting experience. I learned a lot and had many good times. However, despite our relative success and upwards trajectory, interpersonal complications ultimately required dissolution of the company.

Thankfully, all working parties seem to be satisfied with the concluding state of things, which means even as it ended, it ended well. This journey, however, will not be forgotten. If and when the time is right to resume the path of indie game development, I will be prepared with all the time-worn experience I can muster.

So what am I doing now? I am still making games! I have been employed as a Senior Gameplay Programmer by a small company called Artie. We are optimistic that it won’t be small for much longer! These NDAs make it difficult to speak candidly about the details of my work, but I’m excited for the novel approach we are taking. I feel it will really broaden my horizons, which is always great!

In personal news, I’ve moved around within the state of California to reunite with family. Luckily, we were able to steer clear of COVID-19, though the pandemic has changed the landscape of work and leisure. On a positive note, Artie is now a fully remote company, so I’m able to continue doing all of my work from the comfort of my home office.

That’s all I have to say for now. Perhaps you will hear from me again in another year or so. If you would like to get in contact with me in the meantime, feel free to connect and message me on LinkedIn. Thanks for reading!

If so I was just trying to contact you to tell you that I was disappointed your guide was left incomplete and ask you to finish it if indeed you were ever able to finish the game.

    Cheers,
